About Megan

Megan Reeves is the Director of Business Development at Discovery Institute, where she oversees business development strategies, leads the Discharge Planning team, and supports alumni engagement efforts. With a Bachelor of Social Work from Rutgers University and plans to pursue her master’s, Megan brings over a decade of both clinical and operational experience in the substance use disorder (SUD) and mental health space.

Megan began her career in behavioral health in 2011 as a behavioral health technician at New Hope Foundation after entering recovery herself in 2009.

Since then, she has held progressive roles at Endeavor House, Discovery Institute, Recovery Centers of America, and Recovery CNT, developing expertise in direct client care, group facilitation, clinical processes, program development, and business development leadership. Her return to Discovery Institute as Director of Marketing in 2024 marked a full-circle moment in her professional journey.

Her responsibilities include building and nurturing partnerships with treatment centers, healthcare professionals, community organizations, attorneys, and faith-based groups to create seamless access to care. She also leads and mentors a team committed to making recovery possible for individuals from all walks of life.

Megan’s work is deeply informed by lived experience. With nearly 16 years in recovery, she approaches her role with empathy, authenticity, and an unwavering commitment to helping others find hope. She’s especially proud of her role in improving systems of care, supporting successful discharges, and offering comfort and direction to families in crisis.

Outside of work, Megan is active in her community through multiple roles: she serves on the Monmouth County Board of Addiction Services, Prevention Coalition, Overdose Fatality Review Team, and several of its subcommittees. She is also a steering committee member of LB HEARS, a volunteer with Recovery Advocates of America, Hope Sheds Light, The Grace Project, and an engaged CCD teacher at her local church.

Megan is a mother of three, a wife, and someone whose spirituality, yoga, meditation, and service in places like Kensington help keep her grounded. Her personal mission is simple: to instill hope in the hopeless and offer a second chance to those who need it most. Megan lives by the motto, ” “The fire that once tried to destroy me now fuels my mission to save others.”
