Tracy is the Director of ACT at Discovery Institute. She has worked at Discovery since January of 2015, she was hired halfway through her master’s level internship while at Discovery. She has worked in every program that Discovery has to offer. She has worked her way up from being a primary counselor to a director of a clinical program. Tracy received her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Monmouth University and went on to obtain her Master’s in Social Work as well at Monmouth University. She has her MSW, as well as her LCSW and is applying for her LCADC.
Tracy practices strength-based approaches, Cognitive Behavioral approaches, and Motivational Interviewing. She feels that the group and individual therapy with the strengths-based approach is what bring success to the field of addiction. She feels as though addiction is still a misunderstood field and feels strongly on improving the quality of services given to clients. Her clinical interests include: recovery and addiction, co-occurring mental health disorders, relationships, communication skills, coping skills, trauma, anger management, crisis intervention, group and family therapy.
