Specific – Try putting your goals into words by writing them down. This will help you to make them as specific as possible. Once you write down exactly what you want, you can always expand on your goals later.

Measurable – By making your goals specific, each one should also have a specific measuring point. For example, setting out to achieve goals by a certain date will help you to put them into focus. Additionally, it allows you to measure your successes and celebrate small steps that lead to the bigger picture goal.

Attainable and Realistic – Having goals that are attainable and realistic go hand in hand. Remember to set goals that require work while still capable of being reached in the future.
