Men’s Sober Living House Now Available

Discovery Institute opened a 16-bed men’s sober living house. Men will find a safe, sober living environment as they build a strong recovery foundation, secure employment, and transition into life as a productive member of society. Through their stay in the halfway house, the men attend 12-step recovery meetings, didactic lectures to learn about addiction, as well as group and individual sessions.

Benefits of Men’s Sober Living Home

The men develop life skills to assist them with living independently. With the guidance of their clinician, the halfway house men get connected with mental health providers, doctors/clinics, and other outside resources as needed by the individual. Some men transition into the halfway house from Discovery’s residential program and some come from other walks of life. All come with the common goal of completing as better men than when they began their journey.

Clients that choose to stay in a sober living home are less likely to relapse. Most overdose deaths happen directly after relapse, so relapse prevention is key. Sober living provides an option that allows recovering addicts to take care of themselves but still stick to recovery goals. Losing focus on sobriety early in recovery is dangerous, and a sober living environment lessens those risks.

If you have any questions about our men’s sober living home, please give us a call at 800-714-2175. We would be more than happy to meet your aftercare recovery needs.
